Dear Parishioners
Last week’s double Flashes, on Thursday (Service & general info) and Friday (Quiz info / Invitation to a Special Vestry Meeting) do not need repetition. Since I will be on a few days of leave when you read this, it is also kept to a minimum of reminder notes, plus a prayer – and you can always go back to last week’s editions if you missed reading them.
Though on leave for most of the week, I will happily be doing the regular Thursday morning service – partly because almost every other priest, active and retired, will be at an annual service in the Cathedral, which I will join slightly late. It is a service of Renewal of Ordination Vows, and I’ve missed it the last couple of years and it seemed good to me to be part of it this year, with my sister and brother clergy, as we renew our commitments to our calling as servants of God and of God’s people, in this particular ministry of the church.
